How to Spot a Brand-new Fake Tech Support Scam Site Before Activated

I pounced on the YouTube ad at a glance, even though I haven’t seen any suspicious activities yet. But I’m sure it will be revealed soon, based on the inappropriately seductive thumbnail, nonsensical taglines, and above all, their other ads with similarly spicy thumbnails, as you can see in “My Ad Center”.

Look, their hilariously clunky, auto-translated Japanese content on the landing website. On the typical “Home” button in the top menu, it has a single letter “家”, which never represents “Home” or “Top” in this context. It may explicitly mean a “house”, which somehow makes sense if it were a website for real estate. Unfortunately, it’s supposed to be a fashion brand website.

These are exactly the shared traits among the fake tech support scams (list) in my observation. It is expected to be followed by more of them in 2-3 days. I’ll occasionally add them to the list below.
