Evolving Microsoft Tech Support Scam Ad

It’s been a few weeks since I last saw the MS tech support scam ad in my YouTube feed. Did they die? No. They are back with several new features. They are even evolving.

(tagline) フローラルデザインで人生を彩る
フローラルデザインを基礎から学び、あなたの夢を形にしましょう。
Sponsored・Prestigelearn Hub

(tagline translation) Color your life with floral design. Learn the basics of floral design and bring your dreams to life.

Do NOT call the number shown above: (0101)21729-33821
The new version of their scam webpage features The-Matrix-ish, cute little text fragments swarming in the dialog box, popping up in the center. It also has the same warning voice message as the previous versions in the post titled: New feature on the fake MS tech support scam. I can’t hyperlink it because it’s been flagged as “unsafe webpage” by Google for the numeroius scam websites URLs and links lol

When you reload the website in your browser, it doesn’t constantly show the same scam website, but occasionally shows its normal version of the webpage instead. Not sure how it works, but the first click always leads to the scam webpage, and reloading the URL  tends to result in the normal one.
However, if you look closer at the non-scam version websites, they turn out to be obvious dummy websites, despite some improvement from the previous versions.

Non-asian avatar images with Japanese names lol

“Japanese/English support is available.” Thank you for the bilingual support lol

In case you clicked on the scam window, it’ll attempt to prevent you from closing it by activating full-screen mode and hiding the Taskbar. Then you’ll need to click “Task Manager” in the Windows Security screen after pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del to terminate the scam screen from the Taskbar or the Task Manager.
Its evil siblings are already coming in on my YouTube feed, as shown below. Some of them also come in with non-Japanese taglines, and they now sound less weird than they used to be, in both languages. They are learning and improving in a way, but still obsessed with a vaguely obscene thumbnail.
